Key findings, inspector's opinions and reasons for judgement made

The inspector reviewed a range of topics and identified a number of examples of the duty holder meeting relevant good practice in reducing risk to levels that are ALARP, including Local Rules, Training, Security, Contingency/Emergency plans and Transport Documentation.

The inspector also observed packages being prepared and loaded onto vehicles, with one vehicle being inspected.

The inspector identified one minor area of non-compliance and discussed this during the inspection. This was associated with the content of the Radiation Risk Assessment.

Conclusion

The inspection findings were presented to the dutyholder at the close of the inspection.

I judged an overall inspection rating of 'Green - no formal action’ was appropriate for this inspection.

The dutyholder is required to provide ONR either with evidence that the one identified non-compliances has been resolved, or an appropriate resolution plan with timescales for completion, by 30th June 2025. The non-compliances will be tracked to completion via a level four regulatory issue”.
