International Atomic Energy Agency draft documents

We coordinate comments on behalf of the UK on draft IAEA Safety standards. Through IAEA Safety Standards Committee members, we provide feedback to the IAEA following publication of the draft documents on our website, receipt and review of comments by stakeholders. We will also publicise the consultation documents through our external communication channels to relevant stakeholders.

When we ask for your comments, we are looking for:

  • Relevancy and usefulness – are the objectives appropriate?
  • Scope and completeness – is the scope appropriate and adequate to cover the document?
  • Quality and completeness – do the requirements/guidance represent the current consensus among specialists in the field? Are they expressed clearly and coherently?
